Hi, comic fans, I'm scheduled at this point to be one of the first interviews on the http://stanlee.net the Marvel comic creator, which is opening its doors wide beginning in May, and I talk quite extensively about Hoppy, and Gene Colan, who drew many of the D.C. Hopalong Cassidy comics for Fawcett Publications from the 1950s. Gil Kane became the artist after Gene left. There's a great story about getting Hoppy up onto the walls of the Detectives, Inc. offices, just one of my fond memories of working with Gene. There's some incredible painting done during some of the middle numbers of the Hoppys, and I'll include some of those. Take care, Don Continuum |
