When a lady ranch owner runs into problems with a black hat who has his beady eyes on both her and her land, Charles Starrett is called on to help her. Ann Doran and the Sons of the Pioneers also star. Featuring impressive cinematography from the great Lucien Ballard. 58 min.

Charles Starrett, as ex-Texas Ranger Steve Lanning and his heroic, black-clad alter ego, the Durango Kid, is a one-man whirlwind of justice as he defends the residents of Indian Springs from a band of baddies who call themselves the "Texas State Police."
