Gene Autry -  "America's Singing Cowboy"
aka  - "America's Most Beloved Cowboy"
Gene Autry's film career spanned from a guest appearance  in a  Ken Maynard film (1934) "In Old Santa Fe"
to his last film for his own production company in (1953)
"The Last of the Pony Riders" 
To his millions of fans he embodied all the virtues of the American Cowboy. He is one the few that have five stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His Gene Autry radio program "Melody Ranch" ran for sixteen seasons on CBS. He produced a number of TV shows under Flying  "A" banner . The Gene Autry Show - 85 episodes,  Annie Oakley, 
Death Valley Days, Range Rider, Buffalo Bill Jr., 
Adventures of Champion
Gene was also a great businessman he owned several radio stations a TV station or two, California Angels pro baseball team. Merchadising with his own music publishing  house, licensing rights  for Gene Autry merchandise toys, cap pistols
